Hey im trying to format a new sd card but it wont work on the app (says failed everytime), and when i connect the drone to the computer it doesnt show up the SD card and the drone just beeps?? please help im starting to get annoyed. Its a new SD card.

What is brand and size of card?

It sounds like you are not connected to the aircraft?

you are connecting the drone to the computer.i have never formated a sd card this way.its done through the app .

Have you tried format the card in the computer.

having same issues, just stopped during taking pano, not working since.  i formatted it on compu put it in aircraft and same thing sd error

Then it is a pretty good bet that the SD card is not fast enough. Try a Sandisk Extreme card.

Have you tried to format the micro sd card, through the app.

There are two places in the app, to do this.

Yeah I’ve tried all ways I’ve read online. It’s a class 10 card with 90 bits per second. I’ll try another brand.

So when you put the SD card in the computer it doesn't show in the root directory? At a guess I'd say it sounds like a dud but you could try formatting the card in another device such as camera, dash cam etc. that should confirm card at least formats. Then try wiping the card, re-insert etc and hopefully all should be good. If all else fails get a couple of 32Gb and try them. Extra cards won't go astray. As Geebax suggest SanDisk are reliable.

If the computer or card reader is a little outdated you might not be able to read a modern high spec card.
If I was in your shoes I'd try a newer external reader.

both my sd cards are bad. they worked before latest firmware update. i had a 32gm sd card in my fire tablet i was not using so i tried it and it worked. it does say slow speed

Then it very well may not work if you record say, 4K at 60 fps.

Just reported the same issue. I'd love to hear what you find out. I've tried SanDisk Extreme 128G, SanDisk Extreme 64G, and SanDisk Extreme 32G. All with the same results you've been experiencing.

Nothing i try seems to work it’s very frustrating. Sent the 64gb cards back and goin to try buy another brand. It’s just annoying been some great autumn light nights that I’ve wanted to capture and I can’t!!!!!

Nothing about the sd card should causing a beep

I have had similar problems it turned out to be a faulty sd card

Why not use the SD card that came with the Phantom?

My Mini just point-blank refuses to format ANY card. I can get them to format in my Mavic no problem. The mini has NEVER worked from day one. If I experience recording issues with the mini I pop the card out, format it in the Mavic and return it to the mini and all is good again (for a while).
