Will the battery be powered on?
What is the indicator in the charging hub?

when I connect the batteries to the inspire 2.
The drone does not power up.

The indicator in the charging hub is solid red.
It has been like that for 6 hours now

The drone does not power up.

A solid red light on the charging hub means battery error and it will not do anything. It'll stay like that forever.

You need to press the button on the battery and see what lights come up on the battery itself? If you don't get any lights at all then the batteries are completely dead.

So it seems the batteries have failed. When you last flew the drone did you really flatten the batteries down to the max and left them completely discharged? LIPO batteries do not like that and should be left with at least 30% charge level.

If your batteries are under warranty (max 6 months or less than 200 cycles) then you can try to send them in for a warranty claim otherwise it sounds like you need a new pair of batteries
