Last year I took the FAA test, paid my $5, and registered my Mavic when it was law. Now the law changed and registration is not required. However I apparently have to pass a knowledge test in DJI GO 4, with four chances to skip, before I can fly? Ok, no problem, I took the quiz and flew for a day.

Today I upgraded iOS on my phone. When I went to fly, I was prompted to take the test again with four chances to skip. So this raises a couple of questions at the minimum: who is requiring this test and how frequently is it required?

I was wondering the same thing. It’s seems with each new update we get thrown a curveball.

For now, only the US users need to take the quiz, and you have 4 times to skip the quiz, it is okay and no restriction to skip it. If you have this drone finished the quiz, it will not appear again, but if you have multiple drones, you might need to finish the quiz for each drone. Make sure that you have the internet access when you do the quiz.

Thanks Thor. I've passed the test twice. Should I expect to have to pass it with every iOS and DJI Go upgrade? Is there any way to permanently pass the quiz?

It is said then the serial number passes the quiz, it will not pop up again with the same number, even if you reinstall the app or change another device. How many drones do you have? Let me know if the quiz pops up repeatedly with one drone. Thanks.

What if you keep failing the test? Can we get a full refund for the drone?

And pity you can not win a free drone when you pass it the first time

I have one drone and  so far the test came up once when I upgraded DJI Go and then again after I upgraded iOS. I haven't seen it since but I'll advise if it comes up. Thank you Thor.

came up three for me on ios. once after updating the app and once again after flying the next day then again once after updating to ios 11.2 beta 5.   and never happened on android for me.

I have a Spark, Mavic and Phantom 4 Pro and had to take it once for each.

Hi mate, I got news from our engineers, they said the issue is resolved on iOS v4.1.20, and this version is now released by phase, so please update it if you receive the update notice. See if it helps.
