As suggested here I'll try to star what it could become a great help to all the android user, a list with pros and cons about android devices
Of course I need the help of every android user on this forum to implement the list of devices and how they perform with the DJI Go4 app.

NOTICE  NOW APP VERSION 4.1.22 AVAILABLE WITH THE OPTION TO TEST A NEW MAP SERVICE
THESE ARE THE OFFICIALISED DEVICES

• Samsung S8                              It seems that the S8 works well even with the lates android app. Could have some problem with screen resolution as all the other samsung family devices with edges, it seems to be an easy solving problem just by play around with the resolution of the phone in the settings
  

• Samsung S7 edge                   This is my personal device till now no problem apart time to time resolution unsupportet error once I update the app via the play store (solved using the official DJI website app download) and the recent issue wit spherical photo stiching in the last version of the app, someone report overheat, transmission lag and green pixellation in video stream (DJI Go4 ver. 4.1.18 apparently solved using app ver. 4.1.15 / 4.1.10) I've noticed it but only when inside home or near buildings or other source of electronic interferences. (Try, before take off to give more time to the remote and the drone to find the best transmission channel for example you can wait till the poor transmission error in the briefing page of the app change in good) with the last app update all works well and the panorama sphere are stitched and created as well AFTER APP UPDATE 4.1.22 THE APP CANNOT FIND THE PHOTOS TAKEN WITH THE DRONE DESPITE THEY ARE PRESENT ON THE DEVICE SO THE ALBUM INSIDE THE APP GIVES THE MESSAGE NO PHOTOS NO VIDEO FOUND I HAVE TO TRY TO UNINSTALL AND REINSTALL
  
  

• Samsung S7                             Reported to be more laggy and with problems despite his big brother doing well with the GO4 App, if someone is using it with the last update please report your expirience
  

• Samsung S6
• Samsung S5                             After the 4.1.18 app update of nov. 28 this device its back to normal operation with no issues to report
  

• Samsung NOTE4                    Used to work well but after the last app update users report unusable with lag and transmission pixelation or green screen

• CrystalSky                                A lot of people are disappointed abut that should be the number one priority official device for the Dji Drones, usually recive Go4 update some days later after iOS and android smartphones, it doesn't have a Play store installed but with the last firmware you can install 3rd developers apps (reported that Litchi is not possible to install and it should not work due to the needing by the app of google services and maps and if you have buy it there's no possibilities to install without paing again due do the lack of google services in the cristal sky)
  

UNOFFICIALL USER DEVICES LIST

• Samsung Note 10.1 (First version)       This is my second device is a tablet from 2012 unusable despite the app works well because of no image transmission from the drone, till now no solution found
  

• Samsung A5                                                 Reported working with no issues after the last nov.30 Go4 App update. Solved all the tipical problem of the first version of App 4.1.18
  

• Samsung Note 8                                        Despite this device is not yet in the official list (the newest devices take some time to be listed) someone in the forum use it with good result even with the latest Dji Go4 App as for the other family product some problems could derive from the resolution of the screen so maybe try to chance that in the phone settings
  

• Samsung Note 5                                        Reported to not have never had any issue even with the latest firmware and Go4 app no lag no problems
  

• Samsung Tab A (7inch)                            Lots of lag and bad video transmission REPORTED NOT WORKING WITH THE LAST APP UPDATE
  

• Samsung Tab S2 (8inch)                          Works well wit all the latest firmware and Go4 app (IT FITS IN THE MAVIC REMOTE) SOMEONE HAVE CONNECTION PROBLEM WITH THIS TABLET POSSIBLE WORKAROUND IS TO USE IN WIFI MODE OR IF CONNECTED TO THE REMOTE SHUT DOWN AND RESTART THE TABLET
  
  

• Wiko TOMMY2                                           Possible app crash due to not so performant hardware, it could warm up a bit but still be used to cntrol the drone, usual pixelation and green screen with app 4.1.18
  

• Lenovo K5 Plus                                            Pixelated video transmission and lags or slow response on the latest Go4 app 4.1.18 (need to test with the latest 4.1.18 update of 28 nov.)
  

• Sony Xperia Z3                                              Viedo Transmission and lags problem after the 4.1.18 Go4 App update, revert back to version 4.1.15 didn't solve the problem
  

• LG V30                                                             Reported to workpretty reliable with app ver. 4.1.22 but may sometimes crash even during flight
  

• Acer Iconia 7"                                               Working really well, no lags, no dropouts, good tablet for best price and fits in the mavic remote
  

• OnePlus 3T                                                    No problems reported
  

• Nexus 7 2013                                                No problems reported
  

• Nexus 5X                                                       No problems reported
  

• Huawei Mediapad M3                               No problems reported
  

• HTC 10                                                           No problems reported

Only problem before recent update was app crash 2 or 3 times per battery flight.

Device warms up a fair bit in use.  It's a lowish spec phone in regards to others I guess.  Still modern though.

Just do not want to spend a load of  cash on a so called better phone just to have the same problems.

With the recent update my screen just was 75% green pixel garbled.

Fixed when I reverted to 4115 and also fine with the NEW 4118

My Samsung Tab S2 8in works perfectly. tablet, app, mavic, remote all on latest FW. although i have read for some this is not the case. not sure off hand the model number of mine but can look and report back

Issues with 4.1.18. Pixelated video feed, slow response (lag).

Seems theres a "4.1.19" update, haven't tested it yet.

J.T., do you have any Information on the Galaxy Tab A 8.0 ?  I have one and have used it several times and it seems to be working well.  However, if you have any pro or con information received from other users, please post it.  It's always good to know what others have experienced, good or bad.  Also Thanks for creating this post and the research you've provided.

i have got a galaxy tab 8 and sony z3
sony z3 has bombed on me since latest update ie, pixelation and data lag and provides misinformation
have reinstalled v.15 - flew today - same problems
My galaxy tab still works but also is still loaded with an older version v.10 i think. it was my fisrt devise but i switched up becase it internal storage space and i cant save to sd (wasted 64 gig)

My Tab S2 8 is fine also, model number is T710

Samsung Galaxy S5 - Running as a dedicated Device looks to be ok again after 4.1.18 initial release messed it up (new release same version out on 28th November)
Samsung Galaxy S7 - Works ok, found initial bugs related to running phone in WQHD mode, switch the FHD (1080p) and everything seems to be stable.
Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 8" - Also works perfectly no issues and fits in the RC without the need for a mount.

Also confirmed after recent re-release of 4.1.18 is the NEXUS 7 II.  This too failed after the initial release but has been fixed.

Might as well put CrystalSky on there, as it runs like crap on Android.

I have a Google Pixel, 1st gen (not the XL). Updated to 4.1.18 two days ago and again today. No issues s far. I have *not* had a chance to fly with the latest version so I can't report issues or lack of issues at this time. I will report back when I have a chance to fly.

S8+ works great for guys with lower end devices google play pushed out another dji go 4 update today 28th smae version # as last 4.1.18 but new update. Hearing its fixing transmission problems

Nothing mentioned, but I'm running a Samsung Note 5 with latest app and all the firmware updates. Zero lag, zero problems.  1.57 million feet so far without a glitch.

I had uninstalled and reinstalled the app many times on my Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4 inch many times today with no success and still poor live video.  Also, there was never an update notification for my tablet via Google Play either.  Every time I installed the App it was a 150mb file.  About 45 minutes ago I uninstalled the app again and reinstalled it ; now a 160mb file.  All is working perfectly now.  Don't wait for an update notice from the Playstore.

Yep Spencers keep in mind that if you install the app following the download on the official dji website you have to manually upgrade every time an update is relased and you don't recive any updating reminder neither unless you ask the app to check for update

SAMSUNG A5(2017) works well untill 4.1.18 (video lag) 4.1.15 no issues.

Works fine until DJIGO4 4.1.18 upgrade pixelations and lag issues .
But previously until version 4.1.15 has always worked without any problem.
Waiting now for a definitive 4.1.18 new upgrade (or 4.1.19) that solves the problem of the lag/pixelation and that makes it work again well as it did so far.

I fly regulary with a Sony Xperia Tab Z4 without any issue.

smartphone Xiaomi Mi5S - excellent
smartphone Leagoo Elite 1 - excellent.
tablet 9.7" Cube Talk 9X - sometimes it slows down, in the most unexpected places

Galaxy tab A 7inch works fine and smooth up to .09 then it became unusable with the most recent update

Not sure why the S7 is on this list. I tried it and it was painfully slow.....the latency made it impossible to fly.  Went and got a Mini 4 and works like butter.  

NOTICE new app update of nov.30 (Italian play store) seem to solve all the problem i will fly in the evening to check properly

Note 4 now works again...after the lastest patch !

By  Google Nexus 7 II    I assume DJI are referring to the Nexus 7 2013 (the first Nexus 7 was 2012)  - the page you have linked to is the 2012 version (you can tell by the style of the back).  I've not seen it referred to as the Nexus 7 II before (always either 2012 or 2013).

My Galaxy S7 Edge on T-mobile is saying its not compaitable with DJI GO 4 App ....anyone else has the same issue ??

HTC U11....no issues at all, before the latest update and after the recent update release.
