Nice pic.  Did you try a slightly lower perspective, looking further out?  Maybe show the horizon at the very top.

That is a real bummer.
I know that feeling all too well.
Sometimes it is just in grass, sky or water and you can fix it it post but this is too much.

What software are you using there?

I couldn’t believe my eyes when I saw that. I knew the right number of images had been taken but one column had been taken twice.  Ouch.

I use Autopano Giga for stitching.

I am always counting in my head.
Making sure bottom and top rows match (I am talking about ground pano's).
And still...
Sometimes it is just a small part, but other times it was a complete frame...

Ok, I have not worked with that.
Did you use other programs before?
(like Ps, ICE ? )

It feels like Kolor has an advanced and flexible stitching engine but it’s been hard to make an understandable UI and maintain the flexibility. As you can see, it's capable of turning out good results.

Indeed - always a good idea to try out the tools you already have. I’m using the dearer version of Autopano - Autopano Giga. Having just looked at their comparison chart, I'm heavily relying on Giga's additional features.

Aha, I missed the comparison sheet indeed.
That makes it even more expensive....
It might be better to try affinity first before going this road.
I believe they also have a decent stitching engine.
(not tried that)

I have Affinity Photo myself but never thought to throw it a set of images from a 360 for stitching.

I just tried it and got some odd results. Someone correct me if I'm wrong but I'm not convinced it can stitch 360 by 180 panos but it can certainly edit ones that have already been rendered as equirectangular images by other software.
Here's what happened to a sky hemisphere. Looks like half a pair of spectacles

No way that is gonna work.
I have no experience with affinity, but want to look at it as a replacement for Ps.

I bought Affinity too with an eye to replacing PS when the time comes. I'm still sitting on the fence...
