That would make sense.  
The weight of the cable itself would be too much.  But its great seeing new and more ways in which our UAVs can be used.

It would be great if they could do this outside controlled conditions.

Multiple drones and loads of string. What could possibly go wrong?  

Very impressive though, like something out of a scifi book.
