Asking for some assistance please?
My Brother is getting a DJI Factory Refurbished P4S for Christmas and I'm asking all who own this model to respond with their current status?
Are there still FW issues/problems?
Is the latest FW still bugged?
What should a new owner do when getting it i.e. don't update - do update etc.?

Other good advice is welcome too...

Just fly it right outta the box and don't mess with anything.  I am assuming dji will have done the latest update and tested it for functionality.

Hi. I have to agree with Alabama - leave it alone. I'd assume DJI would have factory tested it's operation before releasing at whatever firmware level they (internally) have the greatest confidence in.

So, ignore any upgrade messages until the next production firmware is released. Then wait a couple of weeks to read other's experience with the new firmware and make a call on upgrading then.

Hi. I'm running the latest beta (v2.00.0600), and it's better than the prod release. I hope the next prod is better again when DJI finally release it, but then the beta I tested back in January was brilliant and then they released that last faulty one, so who knows... The Controller is running v1.9.3.

No prob, but if DJI release a new firmware for the P4, I think you'll hear about it pretty fast...  ;-)

I am not able to confirm what version will be with the drone that a user receives, but I believe the drone will be fully tested before it is qualified to be sold.

Drone: 2.00.600
RC: 1.9.3
Pretty nice for now, but as new firmware is released in the future I will update it and test it immediately to use the latest features
