i have read about the new firmware and the few problems some have had with it
i dont want to update the firmware yet
i havnt updated the newest go 4 app either
can i still fly with the older version of the go 4 app and just log into my dji account at home then fly as normal without any limit's

Try to fly without connection and see if the program request something. Fully charge the batteries

You should be fine - DJI will not "force" a firmware update (although I think I read that they did for the Spark recently). That being said, the current beta (v2.00.0600) for the P4 appears to be OK, but you have to provide your email to one of the DJI mods to request access.

We always recommend that users upgrade the latest firmware because it's the optimization to the previous one, but that depends on you. If your drone's now performing fine and you don't want to upgrade it, that's alright.

I agree, there are many improvements like precision landing, landing protection and many more, personally I prefer to update and than fly.
