I was attacked by a hawk the first week as a drone pilot.
Fui atacado por um gavião na minha primeira semana como piloto de drone.

When i saw the photo it thought it looks SO fake (especially where the birds wings are over what look like to be movie studio buildings - the grey ones bottom centre), but there's the videos right there!! Impressive!

I was flying without the prop-guards at that time. Maybe the hawk would have grabbed them if they were installed. In any case, there is no way to know.

I turned around, changed to sport mode, and flew home as fast as I could.

It did not follow me.

I have had birds swoop some other drones in the past, but NEVER captured a shot like this. Is the Spark okay, or did it get taken down?

That`s all right with the Spark. The hawk did not touch it.

Seems like you kept really calm even trying to look at the bird I'm guessing to move the spark in a direction so I wouldn't be taken down

Question which Spark color do you have? it seems that when you have a white one it's attrative to birds of prey.
I have a red sticker on it.
