Many times after a crash, there can unseen damage to the AC.  Los of internal things that can't be obvious.  Probably need to send this one to repair.

A bit more description of the problem would be helpful.  When you power it on by pres-release press hold for a couple of seconds, what happens?  Do the lights on the battery stay on?  Any sounds or flasing lights on the drone?  Any error messages on the app?  You can post the video on youtube and then post a link to that video here.

The battery initiates but the red switch led stays on, along with the the 4 green less, then it doesn't make the wee tune and just turns off, it's almost as if it won't connect to the controller.

What you are descrbing sounds like you are only pushing the power button 1 time.  Is that correct?

No I'm pushing it once and then holding it in till the lights come on in succession, they then stay on for a second of two, the red led is also on during this time and then the both turn off at the one time. It's not getting to the power up phase.

All that looks good. The crash could have damaged a board or any number of things.  I would send it to repair.  Sorry I couldn't be of more help.  Maybe someone else can.

Yeah,  I would have to agree.  That looks to be a possible short on the motherboard of the Phantom, the battery detects it and shuts off.  Unless you feel adventurous enough to crack the shell and look for obvious damage, best to send it in, especially if still under warranty.  Unfortunate for you, sorry.

Appreciate your sharing the solution, but how did you calibrate the IMU if you couldn't power the P3 on?

Something does not compute. You can't do an IMU calibration if you can't turn the Phantom on. For a long time.  So that was not the thing that solved your problem.

May be the Phantom leeches too much ampere and the battery shuts down before the cells have been damaged. If you can power on the battery outside the Phantom and inside not long, then is a damage on the board or on the conductors.

And sorry guys for the late reply I'm not used to this forum Nd thought it loaded the latest page of replies, on the landing it flipped upside down Nd damp sand got stuck everywhere, I sent it to the phantom expert in my model club and he said he knew it was the problem before stripping it down. Apon further inspection the sand had damaged every circuit board in it
