2.4ghz in android no longer working after latest firmware

After latest firmware update it's no longer possibile to use the 2.4ghz with Android devices, can't even understand if it's a frimware or app bug, just hope it will be sort out soon!
2.4 ghz is much more stable and gives better performance, I'm really disappointed by this total lack of professionality by dji developers...

maybe you could try switching  back to FW_V01.03.0020 to see if it is FW related...

done , nothing changes, also tryed the first firmware, still the same!
I thought it was some bug in the app, but it happens with any version, it seems something related to the control of the ce/fcc modality that dji introduce.
It seems it's not related to app or firmware version but something "exchanged" between the app and dji servers... fact is that sinc ethe latest updates nobody is flying safe anylonger!!

I have a phantom 3 SE, already contacted technical support but not a single reply in more than a week....
I know I'm no the only one experiencing such frustrating issues.
What bothers me more is the lack of any info from technical support, not even a "we are trying to work this out", and considering the prices of dji drones it's really disappointing!
Don't think I'll ever consider buying another dji product....

The exact name is "T_P3SE_FW_V01.03.0020" with a "T" letter at the beginning. You have to remove it if you want to use it to do the installation, or it wont start!

Android or IOS?
If you have Android downgrading firmware might be the solution as I have 1.5.40!

I'll be very short, I'm already considering selling the drone.

I tried any sequence, installed and uninstalled the app (also cleaning any trace), tried different mobile devices, also tried different app versions, still the same: 2.4ghz no longer working!
Before firmware 1.5.40 it DID work!
MANY other users have the SAME ISSUE.
What else do you need?

5 ghz is selected by default, if I try to select a any 2.4 ghz channel remote wifi "desappear" and I have to turn it off and on again to let it connect to 5 ghz again

I understand far more than you know. DJI Techs do not answer on this site, never have. So the only ones who can help here are the moderators, and they simply tell you to contact support, or the members. And in most cases, the members work out a solution first.

been talking for over 1 hour on the technical support chat, happens with huawei p8lite, huawei m3 and any other device I had the chance to check with, so it's not device related.
Will shoot a video if I can.
I know tech support won't answear here, but they are not answearing anywhere else.

There are recommended mobile devices on the SE page and the ones you mention above are not included.  Maybe if you tried a recommended mobile device, you'd have better luck... ?  ...or we can at least eliminate that as a possible reason for the problem...

That's a nice video, thank you.  But I don't understand what you're saying.  You switched wifi frequencies repeatedly and the indication was that you were connected.  

Edit:  You're saying this video combined with post #7 is the fix.  Okay, thanks!

Okok..bro Andy and Nebuchadnezz ...pls select 2.4ghz first and select a channel.. once both selected pls press apply.. it will prompt wifi will restart to take effect... Hope this helps... And thanks bro stoyank for the video made

I think that what you can do don't help others unless you can offer them the FW version you mentioned in Post #7. My guess is that you have got a version where the radio module has been fixed for whatever mess DJI has made to their own releases.

Ok, IF your ANDROID device is working in 2.4ghz, can you please state what model you have?
I checked my SE with huawei p8lite and m3:

- firmware 1.5.40 and app 3.1.23 are not working
- firmware 1.3.20 and app 1.3.22 not working too
