Is there really any difference in the functionality between the Race Edition Goggles and Standard DJI Goggles other than the RE edition gives you the ability to use with non-DJI aircraft?

If you only plan to use them with DJI equipment then there is no real benefit to purchasing the RE model.  If you want to use them with non-DJI analog FPV racers then the RE model is the way to go.

Hi, sir. Here is some info of comparison for your reference:
1. An analog video transmission module is mounted to DJI Goggles Racing Edition to receive analog image transmission signals.
2. DJI Goggles Racing Edition has a DJI OcuSync Air Unit.
3. The DJI Goggles Racing Edition supports third-party remote controller signal inputs.

There are several differences:
-receiver for analog and digital video transmitters, also for the external OcuSync transmitter
-it's black (well, more a dark grey)
-headband cusions are made of red leather
-redesigned visor area with different cutouts for glasses

Thanks for the input. I recieved mine a couple weeks ago, these things are the best FPV Goggles that I have owned.
