We actually got a slight dusting this morning, once it stopped I got up in the air.

Thanks, I think that is due to the very grey sky. There was no sunshine at all.

Sometimes I´m able to push the brightnes afterwards. But thats also not working everytime.

The straight down pano is straight out of the Spark, so I didn't edit this time.

I did edit the Sphere and the 180 to push the shadows, highlights and exposure. If only they would add RAW/DNG support, there would be more flexibility.

About the brightness - in snow you usually need to overexpose the picture, otherwise AUTO exp. makes the it too dark.

Thanks, I just shot these on AUTO, due to the temperature. Just wanted to get the shots and back in the warm. If the Spark could just have RAW, there would be room for adjustments. :-)

For future reference (not that snow is too common in the UK anymore, but...) Digital Camera's like in these drones work out their auto settings by assuming the world is grey and adjusting white balance, contrast etc to get that grey average across the image. 90% of the time that works OK, but snow is white, so the first thing it does is compensate that back to grey again making the image dark and losing some of the vibrancy. A simple in-camera solution for snow is to increase the exposure by +1 to +1.5 stops.

Yes, I own 2 high end DSLR camera, so understand the how they work. On this occasion, there wasn't a lot of time to play with camera settings.

Maybe if we get another dusting, I will preset the Spark camera setting's before take off to allow for some positive exposure comp
