Hi all,

I have a spare controller which is left over from my P3P which was lost over a year ago.  It's been many months, but I have used that controller with my P4 several times and it worked just fine.  I recently bought a high gain panel antenna setup for my P4.  I installed that modification on my P4 controller.  The idea is that I will have the option of using the P4 controller with the High gain setup in some situations and still have the option of using my old unmodified P3P controller in other situations where I don't need that much range.  So I decided to make sure my old P3P controller was up to date on firmware.  When I updated the controler, it said it was upgrading to 1.9.3, but after the update appeared to complete successfully, when I checked the firmware version in DJI GO 4 it indicated that it was on 1.9.2.  I tried again and got the same result.  It did indeed upgrade, but only to 1.9.2 not 1.9.3.  So there must be some subtle difference between the two controllers, but I am wondering if there is any significant difference between these two firmware versions and if I can reliably use my P3P remote with my P4 on version 1.9.2.  Any info is appreciated.

According to the release notes V1.9.3 had the following update on V1.9.2:-

Added support for Head Tracking function when connected with the DJI Goggles.

Release notes here

Edit:- So if you don't plan on using goggles with head tracking on your P4 then there should be no problems. But it is strange that you're not seeing V1.9.3.

I've also updated my P3P controller to what they say is 1.9.3, but DJI GO 4 indicated it being 1.9.2

I've flown a job with it successfully, but the only thing is that the GO 4 app keeps saying strong signal interference, even though there isn't a problem with it.

I also picked a custom channel since auto seems to have a lot of interference.

I think that is a false report from DJI Go 4 V4.1.18, it seems to be affecting all.

Are you using your P3 controller with a P4?

I use my P3P controller with my P4 because I only get about 5,000 feet with the P4 controller.   I got over 4 miles with the P4 using the P3P controller.  You guys have that same issue....very low range with P4 controller?  I don't ever see the "Strong interference" warnings though.  I just see the high wind velocity warning popping up every 3 seconds.  I know everybody sees that though.

It is a very common problem among users .. and in many products
