Hi, Locus, congrats, I would suggest to read user manual clearly and watch more videos before flying, but you have Mavic, Phantom and Spark, it won't be difficult for you to fly Inspire.

biggest thing that seems to happen and mess people up is the firmware updating. you MUST do the Inspire 1st with the RC off, and then turn the Inspire off and do the RC 2nd.

Yes, sellout to me cheap .  If you want to keep it be sure to read the Instructions and read the  forums for tips on using the Inspire 2.

If I were you and you really want to keep it < I would get an DJI phantom and learn on that , You don't want to be crashing a 3500$$ Inspire on you first flight if you. have no experience.

ONLY FLY ON FRESH CHARGED BATTERIES

It is a lot of fun when you  get some  stick time under your belt .

Just realized you have other DJI equipment so it is mostly  the same , You will just cry a bit more if you crash !!! LOL.

All heart aches when they crash

id also look into getting the 180w rapid charger and the 4 battery hub. works wonders to get you back out flying.... or shell out the $300 and get the hex charger

I have been looking at the hub charger since this thing will come with 5 batteries.  Thanks

If you fly in cold weather, invest in the battery heater and make sure you keep the batteries warm before flight.

The Inspire 1 is a great aircraft to fly and will serve you well. Spend to time practicing with your new I1 and keep a close eye on your batteries and flight times. Time goes by quickly while you are having fun  

The Smart Power charger is another great charging optionsmartpowercharge

Still a great choice. I'd like my next copter/drone to be the I2 at some point if at all possible. I'm sure you'll have plenty of fun flying the I2.

Smart Power charger is awesome. Z3 camera is the bomb! Smoooooth zoom.

I moved on to the I2 and hope DJI makes a zoom camera for it. I miss my Z3!!

these also are a nice little safety option for when storing in a case covers the opening in the motors to keep small stuff out that may cause mid flight damage

you remove them when flying. they are only on when stored

You really need the x5 camera to get the most out of the Inspire  .........I should happen to have one for sale barley used......Like used maybe twice , like new condition .

If interested let me know , I am going to put an ad up here soon .

yea better safe than sorry. Inspire an expensive bird and repairs arent cheap unless you can do them yourself

I agree these birds aren't cheap.  I used to build RC cars before with my son, but that was long time ago.

yea i still got my old Traxxas Tmaxx i need to see if it still works. Nitro and been sitting 10+ yrs

Oh good ole' Traxxas, we converted all ours to brushless motors with the exception of one Tmaxx and a Rustler.
