Watch your battery level closely when flying in the cold.
I flew tonight and 2 of my batteries started out at 60% even though they had been fully charged. But they were cold.
In a matter of about 4 minutes I was down to 30% and bringing her back in to land.

Even if they start out warm, they will cool off very quickly on the rear end of the bird.
Just a heads up!!

Starting a battery at 60% that has been left for sometime, will not be that same as a freshly charged battery to 100% when it reaches 60%, this can also be a factor.

If you can keep your batteries in an inside jacket pocket, it will help a lot.

Just flew in -17c, battery didn't show strange behaviour. I had it in my inside jacket pocket for a hour before use. My hands/fingers were falling off after 5 minutes though!

I have flown in 2º Celsius which is not as cold as minus degrees, but much colder than it use to be here in Spain, and I have had no problem with that, just charged the batteries full the night before flying and keeping them inside my jacket close to the body to keep them warm, and just let the AC hover for a minute or so checking everything was ok to fly.

I flew in cold weather a few days ago. It snowed here in Houston and I wanted to get some video of the beautiful scenery. I ran two batteries through her and considering the temps I am amazed at the performance of the packs. On one of the two flights it started nagging me to land but that was an easy ten + minutes. I’ve got NO complaints about the cold weather performance of the Lipo batteries as I’ve been using them in my other birds and I am well aware of the cold weather limitations of this battery chemistry.
