Martanique beach, just north east of Halifax Nova Scotia Canada.  The "almost" north atlantic can turn up some good waves.  This is from a cache because I drove the hour to the beach and left my SD in my computer because I was flying around a couple of nights ago practicing my night flying and getting some of the Christmas lights in my neighbourhood

Nice. Brrrrrr what was temps up there in that part of Canada? Phantom seems to have manage well.

What was the bump on 1:56 ? wind?

was hanging around -1C and the winds where gusting pretty good at times.  the weather channel here said 42km gusts so who am I to doubt that.  It was pretty gusty.

I think I turned too quickly just as the gust of wind came at it.  I am still trying to figure out the creator so I can remove some of that stuff

Wow, that's cold for flying - how was the battery life? Did it work well? I might try it too during the next snow but want to stay safe.

the battery held up fine.  I still had 75% left easily.  I was only up for about 5 minutes and I made a point of flying into the wind so my return home had a natural helping hand.  I travel around with my drone on the passenger seat of my car and I had the heat on while I was driving out there.  I am sure that helped because the other morning at work I got a warning on my screen that the battery temperature was below 15C and to return home.  The batteries where just sitting in the truck all morning while I was working

Wow some pretty serious wind conditions. Turning around in those conditions can catch you by surprise, it has for me. Nice recovery though.

Perhaps practice flying while in ATTI mode...

But not in windy conditions. ;-)

Practice being easier on the sticks for smoother panning and experiment with turning your gimbal pitch speed down a little for better angle movements. Do the same vid and compare the 2 to see the difference. The 2 people walking down the beach would have been good with a straight down angle with them walking into and out of frame.

Great tips - especially the last one, standing almost still on top and having objects/people going in and out of the frame.

I extended the sticks today so I am going to hit a different beach today and try it.  I am also wanting to slow the camera movement so I am going to look into slowing it down.

I am used to flying a yunec typhoon G with the go pro set up with only VLOS because I dropped the remote the first week I owned it and cracked it.  I have only had the P4P for maybe 4 months now so still lots to learn.  I want to get a good handle on the AC and the camera features and all advise is appreciated.






I know this is trivial but the mileage on my flight records and what is showing here is different......go figure

My suggestion is that you upload 1080 or higher resolution.

Roger that. You will notice the difference if you haven't already. Download the full manual from the website as they only provide a quick start guide with drones. I printed my P4A and Mavic ones out for quick ref if I need to check anything.

I have only just entered the uploading of vids as my BB has only just been upgraded. Jumped from 0.6MB to 12MB for upload speed. It has made all the difference.

I did a re-do of the beach today.  I listened to you guys and made a few adjustments and a lot of the chopyness has gone.  It just seems more fluid
