So I’m now officially a DJI owner. I have had a few entry level quadcopters, then a few Hubsans (which I still love). I just ordered the Spark and I think I just got the deal of the century. I got the Spark online at Target for, drumroll please.... $275 with free shipping. $499, $150 off, “green Monday sale (today only) of another $60 off, then 5% off using my red card. I don’t know how, but I just had to jump on it. I’ll have lots to contribute here, as well as my YouTube channel “jettlash1000”.

Any tips for a newbie to DJI??  PS, I did buy a controller off of amazon (I don’t fly anything off a cell phone only), as well as a memory card.

Tips...

Yes!  Read a LOT before you put it in the air.  You've mentioned you have experience....but seriously, find a wide open field with ZERO interference and plenty of space to fly in and learn your Spark!  You may want a few other batteries as well, that 12 minutes will go by very quickly!

I bought one tonight for... $299 at Best Buy... They price matched Target $349 price and I had a gift card for $50 and some points. They also gave me a $50 gift card.

So, if you want to buy one at Best Buy, get them to price match Target (they will not price match the discount thingy for $20 per $100 spent), but they'll give you a $50 card as well.

I got you all beat. Back when the spark was a new toy, the local hardwarestore had flash sale, for only one weekend, a new spark. 1500 danish kr. About 180 us dollars...

And welcome to the club, first you will need to buy a batteri clip, many deop their batteries midair...unless you got the new style battery...
And. Well hate to say.  Patience.  All the bad gps, interference, and no takeoff.  But other then that a good little toy....
Miss my parrot bebop2. Took of everywhere, flew with strong gps, all over the place, even near houses and steel bridges.
