Manage to update after pair mobile to Spark. BTW DJI Assistant 2 latest version does not work on windows 10. I have never get my spark to connect via that apps and just wondering does it really work?

I have Windows 10 and it works well. Follow the advice given by other users already.

image starts to break up and sometimes disconnect. i stopped using the otg cable because the spark seems like it works better without it. just yesterday i was using wifi again and it flew 2500 feet. before it was on wifi and the image would still break up..is this normal or maybe just a coincidince

i havent done it yet

Well i had to read the whole thing before i comment, i just seen this today i cant wait to get home and do the FW update i however dont know how to update the RC or it just got the update when its connected to the app and the drone? Also cant wait to get hold on the new SW Go 4. Am sure it will sort out the issue of the OTG.

This firmware update is for Spark only (not RC or batteries). Thus you can easily do it with DJI Assistant.

I routinely fly longer than 1,000 feet using a Crystal Sky connected via wifi to my Sparks remote controller.

Just done the firmware update. Not able to test it as it’s cold and dark here now. Hopefully try it tomorrow.

todd in chicago! i can fly further with the spark controller on wifi its just sometimes the image drops out as i go beyond 1000 feet.

Did a short flight in my backyard to test today.  I'm using the latest Spark firmware, with an Android phone w/ OTG cable and .15 DJI Go 4 app.  Everything worked normally.  No issues.  Still have not upgraded the app, waiting for confirmation my OTG cable will work.

Firmware: V01.00.0800 tested with Go 4 apps V4.1.18 getting a lot issues!!!
Main issues is Go 4 apps can't display battery voltage get error!
After uninstall V4.1.18 and download Go 4 apps V4.1.15 (Android) all the issues solved.

Can't get picture (form box with hands) gesture to work anymore?

I just updated my iPad 2 Mini to IOS 11.2.1, but my DJI 4 Go App is still showing no update to 4.1.22, still on 4.1.18.  I'm located near Munich so the German App Shop shows nothing available still :-(

Firmware: V01.00.0800 tested with Go 4 apps V4.1.18 on Android

Terrible video lag but could also be application lag as the functions in GO 4 App run so slowly. Multiple presses on screen required to get them to work. Everything seems to function but very very slow.

Using GO 4 on IOS there is still a small lag on video but app seems responsive.

All WiFi, not using a cable.

Tried this as well.
Failed at 99%. Made sure that the battery was 100% charged.

Have you tried to remove the DJI Go app and reinstall it.  I had a similar issue with the previous FW update and that resolved my install issue.

What does it really mean when DJI says it added support for DJI Goggles RE?

I was now testing a new FW with hacked app 4.1.14 and it all works including all Mavic flight modes and even WayPoints.. Now we need 4.1.22 app ... Dji can you tell when will it be on your site?

Just ran a 14 min test flight after the update and all is well. Nothing different for me

iPhone X with iOS Version v4.1.18
Aircraft Firmware: V 01.00.0800
Remote Controller Firmware: V 01.00.0400

I did see the IOs app is a different version on the website's release notes but its not in the app store yet.

DJI GO 4 App iOS: V 4.1.22
DJI GO 4 App Android: V 4.1.22

Will have to check what the QR reader does to see if I can get the newer version of App.
QR reader only goes to the iOS Version v4.1.18. Will have to wait till its up on the App store

Noticed what others have said, Gesture Support disappears after flying around. I typically take off in Gesture Mode with a hand launch, fly around, then have it land back in my hand. It did the hand launch but when I wanted to go back into Gesture Mode after flying around, my only options were RTH and Land. There was no icon on screen to allow changing modes like before.

That is how I fly too and I did not have that problem. Palm launch and switch to normal then come in and switch to gesture mode. Lift up palm to get green lights to recognise me and then palm land. Worked perfect.

You probably know this already, but I forget often too.  I've tried to look for the icon to switch into a QuickShot mode, and the icon hasn't been there, with only options to RTH and Land.  I had gone into Sport mode while flying around BEFORE trying to do a QuickShot, and your modes become disabled if you  are in Sport mode; so no Gesture, QuickShot, etc.

Others can verify, but I'm pretty sure that is the case, and you may have checked that already, but you can always look at your log to see if you went into Sport mode.

Additionally, I *think* that your mode options will only be available if flying in P-GPS mode.

Todd in Chicago was right. I must’ve been in Sport Mode. Gestures work fine. A few flights in P-Mode confirmed Gestures still work.

Just relook at my android DJI Go 4 app and it states as V4.1.18(432-official) ( 1 was updated from 426 to 432) and indicated as latest version now. V4.1.22 is still not available.

The update also it seems that does not trigger googgle play store to hilight that you have an update for DJI Go 4, but you have to check for updates within the apps itself. Is this correct?

I wish DJI would give advance notice of updates coming - went to fly today and couldn't due to "mandatory update" - when it was fine yesterday for flying. Perhaps DJI could offer text updates so you could know before arriving at remote destination and be able to updte at a power source before heading out to fly?

is the .800 fw update a mandatory one? I personally, will not use Googles and never had problems with update stability. So, do I have to update, otherwise Spark will not work as usually?

I would recommend to make it part of your preflight checks and install updates at home when they become available. And for firmware updates there are always announcements in this forum. Easy to check.
