Many of the beautiful places that our horses take us to either do not allow drones, or we are riding with others and don't want to ask them to stop for 45 minutes while I send  up the Mavic.  So I've been thinking about getting an Osmo Mobile for quite awhile and finally did so.  Here is a video showing that the Osmo works quite well from atop a horse.

I decided that the Osmo Mobile was a better option for me over the regular Osmo.  A full Osmo looked like it would take longer to get ready to shoot with - sort of like readying my Mavic Pro.  The Osmo Mobile is quick to get started.  The attraction for the regular version is that you can also get a "Z axis" attachment.  I worried that the Mobile wouldn't handle the bounce of a horse, but as you saw, at both a walk and trot, it's quite acceptable.  But using it without the horse, you really do need to master the "ninja walk" if you're moving with it.
