P4 Standard with GO 4.1.8 and Apple Air 2 running 11.2.1 has some data missing in the startup "Aircraft Settings" menu.  This happens even when the "Ready to Fly" in green is shown.

Sometimes the "Set Max Flight Altitude" is shown (Mine set for 120) and the Button Customization for C1 and C2 settings on mine are shown to what I initially set them at.  All good.

Other times the "Aircraft Settings" do not show the "Set Max Flight Altitude" at all nor anything in the C1 and C2 windows other than "Not Defined" and those controls do not work.  Still it says "Ready to Fly" in green, and it can take off, but telemtry data is missing and who knows how a RTH will operate or if the NFZ are working either?

You can unplug and replug the USB cable to the Apple device and often get the Aircraft Settings menu to correct and show the proper data.

Things I've tried. Refresh of aircraft. firmware install in RC. New cables. Removed HDMI module and replaced with stock GL300C non-HDMI module and problem persists.  Unplug and replug usually gets it running again if you pay attention to what is missing in the startup "Aircraft Settings" menu.

Any answers DJI?

Thanks.  I read that, and also did the RC 1.6.0 to 1.9.3 rollback and update via GO 3 mentioned elsewhere to no avail.

Something is really messed up someplace with GO losing settings and not communicating with the RC right.  Can't save some settings either when it is in the flaky connection mode where the settings are missing in the "Aircraft Settings" menu.

DJI messed up bad.  "Ready to Fly" it ain't.  Don't know if losing telemetry as it appears to do now could cause a fly-away event, or crash into something since the Max. Flight Altitude isn't shown, or maybe a failure to Return to Home either.

Pretty soon I  think the GO apps are going to be renamed STOP and STOP 4.

Elektra, here is the  about data.  The Apple iPad Air 2 is running curent  iOS 11.2.1 (Most current, and I did a refresh of it as well).

That looks bang up to date. However...

There are one or two known problems with aircraft firmware 02.00.0106 which you will likely have read about. The flight instability problem which may or may not affect you, and the problem when recording video in 4k mode @ 30 fps where the video stops and gimbal resets at random intervals.

These seem to have been resolved for most (if not all) with the Beta 02.00.0600 release. Which you will have to request from one of the Mods. If your aircraft is stable enough and you don't use 4k@30fps then I would stick with what you have until the next formal release, which surely can't be too far away now.

And hopefully the DJI Go 4 V4.1.19 release isn't far away either.

Yes, I have read about the gimbal issues and reported on mine where the gimbal went limp on a "Follow Me" mode and it lost the target (me) and took off to who knows where looking.  Flight instability at times too, but I can handle that due to crummy RC helicopters of the past.

I never signed up for their beta as I already have one.  

Just which they'd address the "Disconnected" issues of iOS and the losing of any saved settings in GO 4 even though it says "Ready to Fly."  Android used to be the bane of the tablets for DJI, and now Apple has overtaken them where they used to excel.

Not seeing GO 4.1.20 on either iPad Air 2 or iPad 10.5 as yet, both have iOS 11.2.1.  Slow or a throttled roll out probably by Apple.

Any version revision log on the new DJI GO 4.1.20?

Just what's on the App' description, Added some 'export' feature for Goggles RE and optomised panorama capturing, both on Mavic.

But it's always the unmentioned fixes that are worthwhile. I'm not getting a single report now of radio interference, which was almost non stop under V4.1.18. There may also be fixes for other bits such as recognising and reporting updates for RC firmware. I've not checked that yet. This of course was just a brief indoor test I've done so far.
