Thank you That's an interesting phenomenon with ultra wide views - the clouds often form a pleasing pattern.

Today was no exception
I first experimented with the DJI Osmo Mobile + iPhone SE.

But that did not capture the true beauty of the sky enough.

I will try and edit my DSRL shots from today sometime this week

Two pano's from the same day and location

Only this time with a larger sensor and some proper glass in front of it
The iPhone SE does a pretty decent job as long as the DR is not too great, so this was a bit too much for her.
Luckily I usually also carry the 2kg of camera + lenses around

Looking good - wonderful view! Maybe a smidge too much tone mapping in the sky but that's a completely subjective comment on my part! They seem to have a little altitude - do you have some "high" ground to shoot from there?

I take bad going from FF DSLR quality to almost mobile phone standards in the air. I'll soon to be uploading another 360 from today, a stitching nightmare at that

Yes, I was in doubt about that also.
The first few tries were even more....

We are standing on a railway bridge with a bicycle path attached.
So that explains the height.



There is the bridge itself.

I was looking some more at the detail and noticed the house on what looks to be almost an island. Was that a flood event?

That is the IJsselstein.
A rather old house that is situated on a small (probably man made) hill outside the dike and it is only connected via the road with this kind of high water.
If the water gets any higher, the road is also flooded and they have to use a boat to get to their home.

If I'm applying any tweaks to an image I tend to apply to taste and then back it off a third Sometimes leaving the image alone for a day and then looking at it next morning also helps!

Your bridge image made me realise that I don't have many interesting bridges in the area, apart from some old railway ones left over when Beeching dismantled the smaller railway lines in the UK.  Some of them were on really scenic routes.

Wow - that's a bad situation to be in. Must be a continual source of worry for the residents

Although I like this look
This is a rather new bridge actually. The old one was very beautiful, but much lower.
So it had to be opened all the time for the ships to pass.

Ahh - i see! I miss the decorative touch engineers put into structures in years gone by. New designs often lack character.

I wish I had a time machine to go back to see historic cities in their architectural glory.

That is so true.
I really would love to take my D610 back in time and document all that is now gone.
