Unboxed my new p4p obsidian and the shipped firmware is at 01.04.0703.  Checked for update and it is current.  I figured I would post this as I have not seen a newer one on here yet.

Well lucky you. I wonder when the rest of us will get it.

It probably doesn't work with the older P4Ps because the paint is a different colour

Just installed this today in my new Christmas Present. You will need to update the controller as well. This process was not intuitive to me but I got it done. I loaded the drone took it outside and was getting video link and disconnect errors. The App updated the controller and boom...good to go. Two flights in the bag.

Really?!?!?!.....i was told by some forum administrators that the obsidian had THE SAME FIRMWARE AS PHANTOM 4 PRO..Susan actually was the one who told me that.

My P4PO arrived Tuesday 21st Dec was set-up and activated all fine latest FW nothing to update, it was wrapped and place under the xmas tree - Just opened today 25th Dec from the Christmas wrapping paper and it now needs updating .... so yes there's a new FW out there.... OH hum...

Hi dj susan can you please advise if the specs in the picture are the correct ones? Also for remote ,database.
The remote controller says 01.04.01.00 as at the announcement it says 01.04.1 is that the same then? Please advise

You had better luck than I did.  Both my remote and unit are updated with the latest firmware but now my remote has a purple LED illuminating where it's usually green and I don't have any video feed.  It's now telling me that my gimbal is disconnected. The LED's are flashing on the drone itself as if it was updating and the small LED light next to the SD card slot is red. I have attempted to downgrade hoping that this make resolve my problem but it's still doing the same thing. Has anyone experienced this problem are have any idea as to fix it? I have had mine for a while and have never experienced this issue.

Confirm that you have got the latest version of aircraft, controller and database. No worries.

I'm afraid not. It is the default factory number of obsidian currently, and all are same with the white version.

Hi there, please refer the below and try to reset the RC: Turn on the RC, hold the C1+C2+Shutter button at the same time,  turn off the RC and turn it on again, then connect the APP and update the firmware in overall status.
