My biggest criticism of the iPad version of the Datalink Ground Station has been the very old and poor resolution of the Apple Maps imagery, in my case it was nearly fifteen years old. Well, yesterday I setup my Ground Station on the iPad, for the first time in a month or so, and low and behold new imagery with higher resolution.

I'd estimate the imagery is only about four years old and for this area more recent than Google imagery.

I'm still flying with the pre April 2014 release of the iOS APP without the flight restrictions embedded.
