I received the Mavic Pro Platinum drone today. Trying to aciviate, etc.  However, everytime I try to login (Iphone X) the error for connect to network (8-5) appears.

This also occurs when trying to sign on to the dji assistant that i downloaded from dji.

I have dowloaded the phone app 3 times.  to no avail.  Very Very frustrating.

You may want to try a different phone Some folks where having problems with X.  Make sure your downloading the latest version dji 4 go 4.1.20

I downloaded the one from the app store.  I would  assume it is the latest as when I try to update it does not show it available for an update.

What firmware is your phone. The latest iOS firmware help out a lot of folks

Your phone is not the problem, this is DJI servers that are down.. I have the same issue on my iMAC and also PC. I could log in once today and then tried to download and then failed....servers are just overloaded...which creates the timeouts.

Seems like quite a jump. Can anyone confirm? DJI has not announced this version on the forum.

Turns out that is the Phantom 4 Pro firmware version.

This is really simple. DJI is taking its problems (i.e. the FAA and inept drone pilots) and pushing those problems onto you, the customer by adding unnecessary restrictions (i.e. no-fly zones, forced autoland, forced login, altitude limits, etc.). Technically, you are better off having as many options as possible. DJI's log-in-or-you-can't-fly policy is just one of the many ways DJI is limiting your options, for their sole benefit. Do you really own your aircraft or does DJI own it?
