Have updated firmware to latest 0900 version.Using IOS on v11.2 and go4 on 4.1.18
Finding that active track now does not automatically start video and does not create a short 10 sec speeded up video as before.
Any one else finding this change ?

I believe you are confusing it with the quick shots where these short clips are being generated. Active track is for continous filming and you have to push the button yourself to start/stop filming.
