Have been flying Spark now moving to Mavic. Want to fly with iPad mini; any concerns that RC screen is obscured?

Any info on the Mavic's RC will be duplicated on the Mini's screen so you are good to go.

I appreciate the advice of all of you with much more experience. You’ve helped more than you know through forum and videos. 2 hours from box to Ready to Go...

Being that you've been flying a Spark, I wouldn't think that you'd be concerned with the RC display anyway. This should be seamless for you.

I have mine the same way but no problem seeing the controller screen and iPad at the same time.

In addition, the iPad mini fits directly in the mount arms by spreading them wide.  With the above mount, you have a strap so you don't have to hang onto it all the times.

Wasn’t sure if RC display showed any different info from DJI Go 4 screen

Didn’t think tablet would fit directly into arms. I’ll give it a try

yup fits just fine. Samsung Tab S2

The info of the app is coming from the RC, thus the RC will share its info and have it displayed on the DJI GO 4 app, and when you check it on the app, it will be more specific.
And for the tablet, Mavic Pro's RC fits a mobile device within 6.5-8.5mm for thickness and 160mm for length. I tried mine iPad mini, it fits for Mavic Pro's and Spark's RC, no worries.

Reading about snafus people have had over last few days I guess I should play the lottery!
Like I said; 2 hours from box to Ready to Fly including charging, activation, updates and FAA registration

Just took Mavic for first extended (for me) flight ; 800ft out 60ft height.  No problems.

I think that most of the "snafus" are people being stupid. Those that educate themselves about the Mavic are like you, Pepere. Happy flying.
