Hello all! I was wondering about the durability of the propellers on the DJI Mavic Pro. I pretty gingerly handle the drone in general because of a fear of damaging the propellers. If I want to just jam the drone in a bag should they be fine? Do I need to be concerned about them bending? I know I can remove them from the drone itself but it's not always convenient.
I lost my drone due to the propeller loosing a blade. Visual inspection before flight didn’t reveal any issue. There are other owners who have also experienced failures as well. So best idea is to ensure you inspect blades, pivot points etc before every flight.

Do you know how much time you had on the props before failure? Just curious, because I have not changed out my props and I have about 60 - 70 miles on them.

95 flight at average 18 mins each.
DJI recommend props replacement at 200 flight I think

I had more than 235 miles on my original props. During preflight inspection, I found this:
You can keep the props on the drone when carrying it, and please keep them in safe and avoid the pressure and other damages. It is important to do a preflight check before the flight.
For the propellers, we suggest 200 sorties (take off and landing) for a set of propellers. But it also depends on the practical use and situation. Change it if necessary.
I've owned my Mavic for over a year and have yet to change the props, though I did not know about the 200 sortie recommendation. I guess I will now change them.
Props are inexpensive compared to the drone, so why risk anything? I always keep spares and replace in case of doubt (scratches from close encounters etc)

I would think another weak point is the mounting tabs, which can be cracked in a crash
