Reports problems here

Didn't see this post before I've posted.

There were actually 2 updates with the version 4.1.22 - 470-googlePlay and 472-googlePlay.
Still no offline maps.
Start time is 20 seconds, about ~5 seconds better than 4.1.18

Description:
- mavic: export to goggles - firmware v01.04.0200
- spark: optimized connection, parallel firmware update
- phantom 4 pro: panorama

I updated but haven’t flown yet. Waiting for a dry day.

Was going to post this but glad to see it is already posted. Still to bitter cold here to try it .........6*F brrrr
Also seems a new firmware will be out to go with it soon.

FYI: Still showing .20 on the Mac AppStore.

I believe this is an android update.

now we have updated at 4.1.22. It goes smoothly with the latest firmware (01.04.0100). There are no video transmission problems. (Huawei P8 lite-Android 5.1) The application is very stable and responds quickly to commands!

Ah, thanks rolling56 (Keef, my buddy!!). Makes sense, I reckon, that they'd do them separately.

I am an iOS use, so hopefully this will fix the numinous Android problems you guys have been having.

What about iPhone X compatibility?

this huge start time degradation is related to the app shielding solution that DJI is using since version 4.1.14 (secneo).
This app protection systems adds quite a lot of overhead, especially at initial load time (but also during general excution as it adds a lot of crypto stuff)

Been waiting for this. Current updated app crashes every single flight. Can't seem to download apk though.

App is updating on my Nvidia Shield this morning from the Play Store.

Yes here in the Netherlands also, Installed and all settings are the same as previous version.  I fly this morning, to much wind so only taken picture and a movie. No video-lag.

Tried my second flight with the updated app, so not a lot of comparison points with my first flight / previous version of app !
However I was lucky enough not to fly too far because at some point the app just closed and I had no more video return. I anyway landed safely with the RC alone but I am wondering in such cases if it is possible to reconnect the app while flying (didn't try...).
Besides, weather was quite cold (-2 C) and pretty windy, but the Mavic is definitely very stable.

Just updated my Android phones. All ok in the house, no problem with the video transmission. I had to sit the new UK Quiz. Pretty straightforward if you know the UK Drone Code. I hold a PfCO.

This version is none the better, app crashed at 500m and had to RTH. To think I climbed on my roof for this BS app.

Update today on Android via Play Store & you'll be updating it one or two more times WITH THE SAME VERSION number. This has always been the case. DJI make adjustments to the app & keep the same version number. However the size will be smaller from original.

Such strange procedures... Feels non-secure and hoaky.

I have updated one phone only. Do you sujjest to kkep the older version on the pther phone?

They are trying to protect their whole GO4 app infrastructure. Secneo is put 'around' the encrypted GO4 and decrypts at runtime the core program, puts the required modules afterwards into memory ready for execution. After the successful decoding GO4 is doing it's primary task and the user can interact with GO4.

This app version offers the option to use a Beta maps version. This seems to work after a few app restarts. It also seems that the device has to have an Internet connection during app usage...
DJI states that the user can revert back to the original maps via the settings, but how exactly? I can't find the setting for this. Anyone?

Update: just found the General setting: "Please use a test map"

Thanks for the heads up, Jos A.  I turned on my DJI Go-4 App and it automatically uploaded the 4.1.22 firmware update.  I was just about to delete the app and reload a new updated version, and for some reason I first checked the version that I had and it read firmware version 4.1.22  !?!?!?!?!?!?  Go figure.  So I just kept the app.
   
Now I have to wait for Epson to come out with its new BT-300 soft ware so that I can down load it and won't experience any latancy issues.

lol ya and i have a full beard right now so lots of snotcicles all over my face yum  

Flew twice today on the new djigo. Didn't go well at all. First flight I started getting 8 loud beeps over and over and my phone, Nexus 6P Android 8.1, went black, still beeping constantly. My phone wouldn't respond at all. I held down the power key and finally got it to reboot. Brought the mavic back manually and changed batteries. Went out again and several time the drone stopped moving suddenly and I got warning beeps. The message on the screen flashed yellow to fast for me to read it all, but it was something about joysticks returning to center? Both flights the video was severely lagged. I'm not to confident in flying on this new version.

What version of GO app are you using? I'm still on .09 with my tab a7 because none of the last update would work on it. I guess it will stil be the same with this version if you are getting issues.

Update my Xiaomi mi max 2. OTG is working only for video transmission. All other data information is missing: distance velocity battery GPS sattelite, etc...

Did a third flight today, after completely re-installing dji go. After about 6 minutes video was stuck at last signal, then got the disconnected message. Had to manually return and restart the app.
All these crashes are robbing me of logged flight time sigh...

looks like DJI has messed up things again in .22 - just before the new year.
now as the engineers are celebrating, there is nobody to fix the broken app.

Agree, 4.1.15 works fine, and I can say also for Spark.
