Ken Heron is a great friend to the drone community. He educates and entertains thousands of people every week with his YouTube videos and his Thursday Night Live program. Unfotunately, Ken was in a car accident and needs our help. He was driving back from visiting his mom when he was hit from behind. He has broken ribs, a back injury and a totaled car. Even with health insurance, his time in the hospital and loss of his car are a big financial hit. It wouldn't let me.

Ken Heron is the best Phantom Pilot I have seen.   His Phantom flight videos are very skillful, entertaining and sometimes informative.   Get well soon Ken.

Why don't you just ignore this and move on. It's not like this is spam or advertisement of a product. This is information regarding an accident to a well known phantom pilot in the community with a link to donate IF you want to, to help his recovery.

I do like Ken, this is sad news, hope he gets well soon!!

I love Ken's videos and appreciate his work and contribution to the community - he is a really loyal Phantom pilot and gives great advice with loads of energy and charisma. I wish him a speedy recovery. That said, I'm not sure suffering an accident turns one into a charity case nor do I know if Ken would approve of being made a charity or even see the colour of my money if I donated. I don't think it's appropriate IMPO.

As a Noob, I have been watching a lot of videos. Kens are very well done and instructive. He seems like a great guy and certainly has given a lot to the community.

Yes - he is very thankful for the expression of best wishes the last I saw. He didn't mention his being turned into a charity case though.

I have watched a few of his videos and they are good but that doesn't mean that we should donate money just because he was involved in an accident. If he was hit from behind then I am sure that litigation will follow, it's the US after all, and insurance will more than cover his losses.

I will not be donating.

If he was hit in the rear end then he should have all hospital bills paid by other persons insurance....

Most states have no- fault insurance just Incase the other driver has no insurance, this is what I was basing my comment on. I can’t speak for other countries.....

Point taken. But does no fault cover anything other than actual medical and collision? If not how would the victim recover losses due to any long term disabilities? No fault does not allow you to sue the other driver for damages.  In other words "you can't get blood from a stone".

I understand what your saying it just seems like lately is everyone has their hand out for some kind of “donation”  everything that I have was earned through hard work and have never taken any kind of charity but if the guy needs some help then so be it, who am I to say. Actually I just donated 10 bucks to ken....

$6,545 of $5,000 goal (as of today) isn't bad at all,especially considering that the gofundme campaign he started in august to buy a new camera for his real estate video enterprise didn't go very well... 90 $ out of 2,200 $ requested, in four months
