We're still in the pre-buy phase of getting our Insipire 1, but have been absorbing as much info as possible.
During our research we discussed how cool it would be if you could essentially "drop a pin" on a map location and then tell the Inspire to Orbit around it. We haven't come across that in the literature we've skimmed, and were wondering if this was a current feature, or in the works?

While searching we discovered the copter from 3DR that mentions their implementation of "cable mode" and "orbit mode". However, so far not inpressed with their gimbal perforamance in some of the demo video and I think the quality of the DJI's camera looks better than any GoPro footage I've seen. If it's not in the DJI series yet, I'm hoping it's on the horizon!

No orbit or POV mode on the Inspire as yet.  Some say it is in the pipeline.
