After carrying out the latest firmware update for Pano mode, I get constant  weak signal error message, why can’t DJI firmware updates be smooth.
I now can’t use my P4P and have to use P3P, great end to the year by DJI.

Make sure the RC firmware is up to date, then relink the RC to the drone, see if it is better.

see if you can change to from 2.8GHz to 5.8GHz, maybe that can clear it up.

I think a change from 2.8 to 2.4 would be a better approach but guess most get the point.

Unfortunately a change to 5.8 is not the right solution unless flying in an area with lot of 2.4GHz disturbance. Even for me flying on the country with no interference 2.4 is unusable after the later firmware releases.

It is a shame DJI have not got this corrected in the just released version as 2.4GHz has better strength, range and penetration abilities.

Edit: it look like particular in CE countries there are reports of this 2.4 issue.

Hey Bashy, I tried my 4 pro after update in low temps and strong wind. Worked well, apart from a few restarts to get the menus to work properly. That might have been the cold in the ipad. Still got to try the Spark yet though.

The high wind warning is on even before take off, I remember when the P4P came out this was an issue that was later fixed, it was constant throughout the flight, there was very little wind at ground level and around 12mph at 400ft.

Sounds promising, i am waiting for the gusts to drop below 30mph then i will give it a bash

Interesting, I have flown with 5.8Ghz and no issues at all. I dont know if im lucky or what. So i always thought 5.8Ghz was the stable one and I use channel 23 which seems too be very strong also.

Yeah it a little odd this issue 2.4 is unusable for me now so i am forced to also choose 5.8 and even then i get disconnections from around 300m, often "just" the video feed but also sometimes the control connection break with a RTH starting.

Most interresting thing is that you can find two ears old threads in here where users, just like I, was sure DJI has reduced the transmission power, but the replies from DJI was that it was the communication protocols that had been modified. Possibly they have messed with those protocols again due to their implementation of the new ID broadcast thing, but for sure it should not take them more than half a year to fix it or do a fallback of the communication routines in the software.
Is it this going on it also would explain why DJI insist that App, RC and AC FW need to be in sync.

Interesting, DJI needs to have FW updates regularly, i havent experienced any thing bad incidents but i try to limit my flying i dont go too far or anything, if i notice any interruptions i normally stop wait for it to catch up and then continue.

From day one I get the high wind warning idling in a building with obviously NO WIND  they won't fix this!

Have you tried to relink the RC to the drone? Besides, what mobile device are you using? Could you please provide a screenshot of the "About" page and a screenshot of the "HD Settings" page? Thank you in advance.

Tried P4P again today, image transmission was very poor, image lag was very bad, however the Weak Image Transmission Signal warning did not show, instead it just said Signal....!
In flight the drone would disconnect from RC and initiate RTH, but only after RC was turned off and on again. I could not use camera functions due to image lagging, for example moving drone direction, image did not follow for 5-15secs after movement.
I was really looking forward to the new pano modes after having to do so much work capturing them by manual mode.
Worst case scenario I will have to go back to using the pro plus RC, which I really don’t want to because that was a terrible experience☹️

I checked your firmware info, there is no info about the RC but it has the aircraft's, which might indicate the abnormal connection between the RC and drone/app. Please try to just connect the RC and DJI GO 4, long press the upper right icon on the first page of the app for about 9 seconds and refresh the RC's firmware. See if it helps.

I gave up and reverted back to the pro plus RC, what a mistake that was.
Camera was going bananas with image inverted in still and video capture, the controls often on the RC did the opposite to my stick command. For example yaw right and it went left, move gimbal up and it went down or backwards...!
It would seem you have some series issues with the latest firmware rollout, as seen in other posts on this forum.
I’m at a loss now as what to do, I have commercial work that I cannot complete using the P4P or the P4P+, reverting to the P3P sets me back in terms of image quality and professional service.

1.5.3 has been disastrous for me, out in the field and there was major transmission break ups, especially in pano mode. Everything is up to date. New update wouldn’t even work with Litchi app. So I just went back to 1.4.6 and all is well. But mark my word, I won’t ever update my aircraft because the constant fw updates by Dji have been a complete debacle!!!!!

For the stick command, please check if the RC is in Mode 2 ( left throttle), or try to calibrate the RC.
And for the image inverted, please kindly provide me with your DJI email account, I would love to forward you a beta firmware to try. And for your P4P RC ( no built-in screen version), I hope you can get it worked, if you had tried and it doesn't work, please kindly send it back, we will help to take care of it. Really sorry for the inconvenience, hope all the things will be worked out. https://repair.dji.com/en/SelfRepair/Area

Today I will try the P4P+ having rolled back the firmware to App 4.1.15 and AC 01.04.0602.
If all good I will then test the stand P4 RC with iPad having rolled back the firmware in DJI assistant 2.
Thanks but I don’t want the beta version, I will wait for the pano mode once you have sorted issues and issued new update.
RC was in mode 2, but the controls would just change in mid flight, the fault was intermittent during flight.
Fingers crossed we make it back in one piece.

For the stick command, I suspect it is because of the inverted camera. I respect your choice. But if you are interested in the beta (which also has the Pano mode), please let me know, I will help to forward to you.
