Hi,

I just purchased the CS 7.85 UB (5.5 was out of stock) and it dwarfs the spark/mavic controller i didn't even think how much bigger it would be!

Using the normal remote adaptor it's difficult to hold the controller. Will there be a different mount to address this issue? or do i need to 3D print on my self?

Also i was stupid and didn't read that it doesn't come with a charger, because i only have the spark/mavic i need to buy the charger i know there is a list of supported chargers but which one is best to get? I assume the Inspire 2 180 W Battery Charger?

Thanks,
Lee.

For the charger i would go with the cheapest you can find. I have a Phantom 3 charger, and it works great.

That will do. I see from user reviews that the quality might not be that good.
I personally have this one.
Only got it because it was the cheapest i could get on short notice where i live. Amazon and shipping to Norway is also very bad.

Indeed.
As for the mount, you might want to print something to at least figure out where you want the CS to sit.
Some people dont mind blocking the controller, others do mind and uses mounts that positions the display above the antennas.
I have the 5.5 inch CS with a mount that i made myself. This keeps the CS below and above the controller.

I bought the DJI Mavic/Spark mount and I love it.

I am using this mount and find it excellent (very stable and comfortable to hold): https://www.amazon.com/CrystalSky-Accessories-Aluminum-Alloy-Foldable-Controller/dp/B0769DFV99/ref=sr_1_sc_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1514818326&sr=8-1-spell&keywords=DJI+Crystal+Sky+mount+for+Spark%2FMavic

Yes it is and I love it :-)
P.S. I wish to stress that I am in no way associated to the company selling it, I only share my personal experience here!

You save 20 bucks compared to the real one and risk toasting your CS battery

I bought the OSMO 57 watt charger.  The decision is power vs. function.  Higher wattage helps charge a bit faster but also enables the USB ports on the charging base.  If you need the USB ports for charging other things (controllers, USB battery banks, etc.) go higher wattage.  I wanted portable and small that I could possibly power via solar... that's for you to decide what's best for you.

On the mount, I got the DJI mount and the Polar Pro Crystalsky mount.  The two work together well.  The controller grip interface is strong and the locking mechanism for the Crystalsky is very solid.  I like the cut outs in the mount as well, allows me to wrap my fingers around the controller handles.

Yes, the 7.85 displays are top heavy.  And the mounting solutions out there are below the controller (odd to me), above the controller and blocking view of the sticks and display (not ideal, but works), or above the controller and possibly interfering with the antenna.  None are idea, but I am use to watching the drone and not the sticks (since they self re-center anyway), so chose that path.

Hope that helps!
