Hey all, I was excited to get a Spark for christmas and just took it out today for a test flight after watching the tutorials all week.
I calibrated the gps and it told me I was good to go. At first I tried quickshot and wanted to do the rocket. It would follow m wife but would not do the rocket aspect!
I then took over control and got to about 30 ft high and the connection cut out. No image no control. It just hovered above me. I had to do the auto land to get it to come back down. Could this be related to the cold? My iphone drained really quick and went from 89% to 1%. Im in Boston and was near the charles river a warning came up and told me I was near a power plant could that have stopped my spark? Im really disappointed in this first experience.

if the battery was cold, ie below 15 degrees C, you would get a warning appearing.

I just go mine yesterday and I’m tempted to take it out for a spin but it’s 30F outside.

Yeah its 15f here so maybe not the best conditions but I think it might be more because im right in the city so I get warnings for everything! I see all these beautiful drone videos of the snow and want to make my own!

Remote with my phone attached. in my warm truck though. Tried once just standing outside and my phone battery drained really fast.

This entire week is in the low 20s(F) so I’ll probably have to wait till it gets warmer.
