With the plethora of current devices and various stages of firmware, up dates and operating systems could they not get people to send in their control device state of OS Drone model and stage of update of firmware etc then tabulate that, publish the table on the forum and continue to update it. At least that would give people an insight as to what is availlable and works for whatever happens to be out there.

It's a good idea but would be expensive and difficult to maintain so I don't see DJI ever doing it.

Not so sure it would be expensive or difficult, a single thread which could be monitored by a moderator and manipulated into a data base then output into a table republished at say once a month or with a set number of new entries. It really wouldn't be that involved and I am not a computer whizz Kid.
