I've scoured through all of the forums and have yet to find someone with my situation. The Controller and drone work flawlessly, but the issue is that the Remote battery always shows 0%. It will fully charge and last through many many flights without ever shutting off, but is constantly beeping and the first light is blinking. I'm not sure if this is a firmware issue or a hardware issue with the controller itself. It's strange, that when charging the RC, the first light is the only one to blink, but the time it takes to charge seems to be accurate based on how long it's been before the previous charge and eventually the light shuts off after the charge is complete. It seems that something in the controller cannot recognize the charge level of the battery.

Hopefully someone here has some insight.

Try calibrating the RC, that may sort the beeping and LED flashing. See if that makes any difference to the charge indication.

With it connected to a display running DJI Go 4, and aircraft switched off. When running DJI Go 4, tap on enter device (this will work, even with aircraft off), then tap on three dots at top right of screen, and from that dropdown menu tap on the RC icon. You'll see remote controller calibration 1st on list. Remember to calibrate the sticks AND the gimbal wheel on RC (left hand one).

That may do it.

I just ran through the calibration. Turned it off and then back on with no luck. Still shows a blinking red led on the controller and 1 blinking white led for the charge. I'm going to put it on the charger now to see if that makes a difference.

Okay, it takes over four hours to fully charge the RC, nearer five probably.

I tried the reset procedure, as well as unplugging the battery for 30 seconds to see if it would somehow reset. Still has the same issue. At this point I'm thinking something is faulty with the hardware. Whatever detects the battery level from the main controller board must not be working.

It's looking very much that way, one last thing you could try if you think it might be worthwhile, would be to roll back the firmware, see if the problem still is there, and then reload latest version again. There is a small chance that some kind of data corruption may be causing the problem you're seeing.

This is how to roll back RC firmware:-

Connect display device (with good wifi connection) to RC and power both up (aircraft stays off).

Run DJI Go 4 V4.1.20, on initial screen (where it displays aircraft type etc) at top right hand corner you will see an icon, three lines if DJI Go 4. Hold your finger on that for about 5 seconds and release. You should now see a black screen appear with an option to roll back RC firmware (you may have to select V1.6 in the roll down menu, some reports of problems with V1.8 not downloading). Make sure RC is well charged, takes about 5 minutes or so. Power down when complete. Restart all and check all working, you may need to relink RC to aircraft.

If you reboot RC & Display DJI Go will likely prompt you to upgrade RC via 'Aircraft Status' menu. That's assuming you were at an earlier version.

I was able to rollback the old firmware V1.6, but now the option to update it back is not there. Originally my firmware was 1.9.3 (I believe) and after rolling it back, that option doesn't exist on the drop down. I can update firmware between versions 1.5.80 and 1.6.0, but 1.8 says complete but after reboot it appears that it wasn't ever updated.

On another note. Before powering up the remote, I press the power button once. The first to white LEDs are solid and the third one blinks. Does this indicate the battery charge level?

Even after powering it up with the different firmware versions, it still does the same thing. Red LED blink, first white LED blink, and constant beep.

That's correct, each solid light represents 25%, and flashing is 12.5 %, so reading that it suggests your charge is somewhere between 62.5 & 75 %.

It is also correct in that it does not display the V1.9.3 update in the roll down menu.

To update to V1.9.3 again , try the following:-

With RC and display connected (aircraft off), and display has a good wifi connection to internet. Run DJI Go 4 V4.1.20 and 'enter device'. Open the 'aircraft status' screen by tapping the screen at top edge where it says 'disconnected'. The top line 'Overall Status' should show if update required (this may take a minute or two to appear). when it does then tap on that and it should take you through the process to update RC.

Edit:- just as a thought, in the aircraft status list it also displays the RC charge if I remember correctly.

Ok, so I got the Firmware back to 1.9.3. Nothing changed.
I can't seem to find anywhere on the status page that gives me a percentage of the RC battery. The only thing I see is a warning "Remote Controller Battery Low". Which is strange, since it's showing over 50% from the LED status before powering on.

I’m facing the same issue with my DJI RC controller where it keeps showing me battery logo despite being fully charged (4 light indicators) or even with 3 green solid light indicators.
