Would it be possible for you to provide us following numbers?
Activated Spark since release and your known fly-away case.
Why do I ask?
I think it will strengthen the confidence of your customers when they see how small the amount will be in relation, hopefully.
Also transparency is a great value regarding good customer support.
I think the large number of people reporting flyaways on the forums is likely due to the large number of Spark sales this holiday season. With people ignoring warnings, flying way to far and way to high with little to no drone flying experience.
I'd like to know too. I suspect the number of flyaways due to hardware/software faults rather than pilot error are vanishingly small, but it'd be nice to know.
Doesn’t hurt to ask but there’s no way DJI is giving you those numbers, good or bad.
Pick any consumer product and read the reviews, some love it some hate it but I’ve never seen a manufacturer post failure rates.
The short is it’s a business, no more no less.
Yes agreed. And so to sell more I hope they gently tailor their approach to the right spec for the right places.
If even the current regs were vigourously applied, sales would suffer because there will be really nowhere to fly.
