What is the safe maximum operating temp for the Phantom 4 Pro smart battery ?
I have recently seen drone battery temp of 65C immediately after landing.  Ambient was perhaps 32/33C,  relatively still conditions - so we weren't fighting wind.
Is that the norm ?
Sure hope so !  

Thats quite normal. The air temperature should be 0-40c. The battery temp drops very quickly after turning off. Just don't recharge it for a good 20-30 minutes immediately after use.

No probs - make sure you also store your batteries in a cool, dry place at around 40% charge if not flying for more than a few days.

Thanks A CW,  my auto-discharge is set to what I believe to be the default of 10 days.     I thought I'd leave the setting there,  especially as - just at the moment - I am flying every 2 or 3 days.  That is because all this is pretty new to me & I believe the best way to learn is to fly !  

I understand the batteries have a finite life and this question is akin to "How long is a piece of string"  but what would be a reasonable number of cycles of the battery before replacement should be considered ?  I guess battery endurance will decline towards the end of its' service life ??

the life of the battery depends on the care and maintenance of this ... if you take care in this issue maybe you can reach 800 cicles without problems ( with deep discharge each 20 cicles in normal conditions)
