Here's a video of some clips I clubbed together from a brief visit on a farm in New Zealand last year. The owner uses drones (This one a Phantom 3) to do various work on his farm.. but also can be used to herd sheep! What do you think? Video recorded with a DJI Inspire 2 X5s + ProRes.
They do and the sheep don't ignore the collies - they soon learn to ignore smaller stuff like the phantoms, slightly more wary of the inspire tho' (I fly on a hill farm with several thousand head of sheep on it)
Probably.. but we filmed and herded all from the comfort of the house... no travel required or fetching dogs from kennels... Farms are huge and lot's of time is wasted by travelling to and from places.
The same goes for the water tanks miles out... send the drones out much much quicker. Cheers
