I'm wondering if the Mavic Pro's durability is good. Are cracked plastics common? How many flights before you had problems with motors or the battery?

Hi there, the Mavic Pro has been fully tested and can be folded about 5000 times. Generally, there will be error message if there is anything wrong of motor or battery, no worries. Also, I'd suggest to do a fully pre-flight checklist every time to reduce the flight risk.

Durability is excellent subject to you not crashing it and being heavy handed. Read the battery guide too

Mine will be completing one year in two months' time. It has plenty of mileage on it and shines as new. No cracks, nothing absolutely nothing wrong with it.

Agreed. Over 100 flights and the Mavic flies as it did on day one.

Mavic Pro owner for 1 year this month. Crashed 2 times, not too hard, both less than 10' drop, no visible damage other than a couple broken props. 41.5 hours in the air, 277 flights, several Go 4, Firmware, and IOS updates, 50+ YouTube videos. Still flies like the first day i bought it. This is an awesome piece of machinery...

Does that mean 5000 flights? Or you guys basically folded and unfolded the arms 5000 times straight?

I  ordered on announcement day Sept 2016 and have well over 500 flights. Doing great!

It’s 5,000 folds (which is years for the average user). I imagine the designers and engineers approximate that figure - unless they actually employed a team to sit at a table and fold/unfold the concept Mavic’s 5,000 times each LOL
