What do you think about this....
I flew two normal flights yesterday and then I had this disconnection experience.

http://www.phantomhelp.com/LogViewer/IUBXFNJJD65NED49Z2S1/

I wanted to push my boundries out a few hundred feet for the 1st time, so I flew down the field.  When I reached a point 805 feet away, I rotated to look around, and then, I thought I saw a brief flash in the upper left that said "No GPS", and then then it just said "disconnected." There was no image on the screen and due to the distance and the background ground clutter, I could not see the spark.  Notice in the flight log how it suddenly jumps from 805' away to 300+ away in one sudden jump.  (fast spark ha)

I was determined NOT to press the magin RTH button so I just took a breath and remembered which way the spark was pointing when the screen when blank.  Best I could recall, it was pointed in my direction so I carefully increased the altitude a little being very careful not to rotate.  Then I applied forward stick in faith trusting that it would just fly my driection until it reconnected.  I also started walking out in the field in the direction of the spark.  Since I'm 70 and don't see or hear very well, I could neither see nor hear the spark.  I was determined not to panic.

After walking about 100 feet or so, and allowing about 2 minutes to pass, it finally reconnected about the same time that I finally spotted it in the sky.  I flew it back to my starting point, while following behind, and landed safely.

My setup:  Ipad Mini 4, RC Controller, No cable, all recent upgrades.  We DO have a lot of wifi in our area so I am thinking it disconnected due to wifi interference and the distance.  Don't know.\\

Just noticed.  That is a really OLD image in the log from google or whatever.  Must be 2006 or so.

Hi, Chirp. Please ensure that there is no interference around your spark. Metal, factories and high voltage line can cause compass error and enter ATTI mode. I would recommend you enter the wifi setting and check if most of the channel are green. Here is the recommended environment for your reference.

Great story Chirpz!
You did not panic and the Spark flew disconnected 140 meters in P-GPS mode almost to your homepoint locaction!
Nothing wrong with your situationel awareness, my compliment.

Cheers JJB

You just lost downlink for over two minutes, you still had full control ,your orientation skills were right up there remembering where your spark was pointed , increasing altitude were all exceptional . You did a great job.
Happy everything worked out for you.

Good job Chirpz. I would have thought that the AC will still keep the flight data between 2m 40.5s to 4m 52s although the RC is not connected to it??

Aircraft will still have data for this period, it will be in .dat file which can be downloaded through assistant 2, RC was not disconnected just downlink ie video , you can see this in the fact that OP was able to raise AC and bring it closer to him from 800ft to 300ft.

hallmark007, i've downloaded the csv file from the flight log link but no data was in the log for that duration. The flight log is from the AC right, downloaded via DJI Assistant 2?

No, the flight log that I posted was from the Mini 4 Ipad and I downloaded it using Itunes.  I did not dig the .dat file out of the AC.  It is still there no doubt..... since I can't read that myself, I didn't dig it out.
Is there a way for me to read and interpret the .dat file?

Yes Chirpz, do connect it to a PC or laptop to extract the flight log from the AC, at least we have some idea of that missing 2 minutes. And do post it as what you did earlier.

Yes it is a larger file, i just copied the first few columns and rows to reflect the gap in data stored.

Anyway OP already clarified that it is not from the AC but from the device.
