Yes, get them addicted to RC at a young age, and they will never be able to afford the bad things in life.

You can only hang on to your youth for so long. Then it's time to let it go... Ha

Agree!
I'm not thrilled with this product, but hey a drone for every person says DJI
Have to wonder, are they trying to flood the market or just cover it completely or both.  Not sure this helps them focus on more weighty issues such as fixing the problems they have while improving the products that already exist.   What do I know, I'm not making millions selling these things, I just purchased them...

Is that irresponsible?

Being only 80g in weight, and having prop guards, the normal rules, safety restrictions and registration requirements don't apply...  or do they?

What ever the weight is i guess it still can take out an eye, rip off some hair or have a mother drop a  pot with boiling water when almost getting a flying drone in the head, irresponsible yes at some point i think.

Sure maybe...but come now
How is it we grew up riding bikes, skating, etc. without helmets, knee pads, wrist guards, and more all the while managing to avoid killing ourselves or being severely injured.
We have almost forgotten what it means to live dangerously, not that we should mind you, but boiling it down there is risk in everything and anything and you can't remove it.
I'd bet a really industrious terrorist could make this lethal if they were so inclined and had the right tools and supplies...we need to remember what it means to live while being alive!

LOL, how many mothers do you know that go pirouetting around in the kitchen holding a pot with boiling water (which better stay on the stove) while the kids reenact the Battle of Britain with their heavily armed drones??

It is hard to take this new toy seriously, albeit still a little pricy for just a simple toy and a bit more involved but hard to take serious none the less

Maybe it's an upgrade from the p4.  I read all the time on here about losing signal at 300 meters or less, and even occasional flips.

A colander is not the best way to separate spaghetti from water...  A grabber is actually much better (for the spaghetti, and to avoid boiling water accidents as well), trust me...

from the Tello FAQ page https://www.ryzerobotics.com/tello/faq

1. How do I control Tello?
You can control Tello directly via Tello app or with a supported Bluetooth remote controller connected to the Tello app.

1. Which Bluetooth controllers are compatible with Tello?
Tello is currently compatible with the Gamesir remote controller or Apple MFi - Certified Bluetooth remote controllers.
