Looks like a broken motor wire,  in the service loop for the arm to me......
or a poor solder joint from the arm to the PCB????

Agree with Flycaster - broken wire likely.  How new is it?  We had early discussions about how many open/close operations the wires would take before starting to break.  DJI said the number was quite high - thousands if I remember correctly.  If it is new, solder connection is likely and should be warranty.  How often do you open/close the arms?

my mavic had a 6 months warentee,  ow expired - but i got a new battery on warentee replacement before expiry - free courier fees - free replacement. is yr particular issue a warentee claim - i guess it depends some on if you caused the damage (crash), then maybe not or if it is premature irregular fatique then you should be.

I bought the DJI care at the same time as the mavic.
But i guess it  expired after one year.

Do a very good visual examination of the wires sheath where it goes from the mavic body into the arm. Compare the one side to the other problematic side - is the cover clip (on the arm) present on both arms - is the exposed cable the same length both sides - maybe one side hooked to something briefly during the crash and this might have caused a wire to develope a loose connection

Looks like you found the issue...
Look up "Thunderdrones" on FB. He is in Florida, and can help you,
or if your brave, and can solder, you could look up on youtube and do it yourself....
What country are you in?USA?

If it is not a guarantee case, i will solder it for myself.
But i would prefere to leave it to DJI.

Looks like you bought it November26, 2016.
Out of warranty/care/refresh.

Well, you can have DJI do it, but you will pay, and wait........

When i close the arm , the cables are beeing squashed.

If top pic is the motor not working and 2nd pic, is other side, it definitely looks like a bunched up wire in pic 1 to me

I have looked at some of the suggestions but I am not sure about the broken motor wire.  It possibly has something to do with the pinching of the cable on one leg.
If it was only one motor wire, then all the other motors would continue to run.
In the video, there are warning message that I can't read, can you tell us what they are.
Have you had a look in the app to see what warning messages are listed there.

Hard to know if the pinched cable is causing the ESC message or the ESC has really failed. There is obviously a built in check in the Mavic such that if one component fails before the motors start then it will not start any motors at all.
The question is, is it just the cable, or is it the ESC, or both.
Definitely a repair job.

Hi,
I started a case.
Waiting for answer.

For future ref - in Europe, DJI drones are covered by a standard one-year warranty against manufacturer defects from the date it is first registered and activated. Once the year has passed, the warranty expires. You can return your drone anytime after the year is up but you will have to pay for the repairs. I would always recommend sending it back to DJI, as you seem to be doing now anyway. At least when you finally get it back it will be ready to fly again without all the stress.

There were a few mavics built with a cable that was too long and it got squeezed? Seems you had one. DJI said: just use it normally.

Well, here is the result after a year... Try to find the topic, you might claim warranty. Checked mine when it arrived to make sure didn't have this. All tight!

Help!!!
Today a package arrived with a mavic.
But it is not mine..
It has a difrent SN number and a new body.
The controller did not connect to the mavic.
I had to establish a new connection with a reset :
https://forum.dji.com/thread-85545-1-1.html
The sign with my name and adress is missing.
The gimbal is moving voilently and there is a strange sound at startup.
I am trying to update right now, because there is an old firmware on the mavic.

Tell you more after update..

They sent you the wrong Mavic Pro?  Were you charged for the repair?  This is pretty awkward--for DJI.  I sent in mine for repair, and I hope this doesn't happen to me.

I guess i got a refurbished one instead of mine.
I called the DJI service in Germany  and they made a new case.
Today i shipped it to DJI repair service in the netherlands.
Let us see wat happens next.
