Ever since i got my p4p back from being repaired ive been getting intermitant gimbal failures which ive just put up with untill now.
Im also getting glitches in the flight logs of flights when the gimbal does fail.

The gimbal failure is the usual that everyone is getting jumps all over the place and unresponsive.
What i dint get is the flight log take a look guys and let me know what you think.

What firmware is your drone on?

im still on the last firmware havent done the latest update which im going to try todaynot sure what number it is

I would be tempted to try the 600 beta first.

in that flight i was just practising some atti flights in gentle  breeze .
switched back  to p mode then was going to do another atti practice at a further distance then the failure happened before i could go back to atti mode

Nope, I’m using it on my P4P with zero issues,

I don’t plan on updating my P4P to the last stable version until they iron out some of the faults people are reporting.

thats why ive been reluctant to update but  now the drone has become unflyable again so i may have to try the beta version if i can find it  if that doesnt work then i may have to upgrade to latest.
if that fails i guess its back to dji once again for repairs last time i sent it in for the exact same fault took nearly 6 weeks to get it back.

Pm one of the mods and ask for access to the 600 beta, it will show up in DJI assistant one they add you. Just give them your dji email.

Ive done that once already but its not there i only see the latest firmware upgrade  not the beta version

Strange they are still adding people to the beta as per this thread https://forum.dji.com/thread-128934-1-1.html maybe pm Susan again, I had to pm a couple of them when I wanted access.

I PMd Susan this morning for it and she said I would receive it in a day or so, so they are still giving it out but you won't get the 700 iteration by asking

I was supposed to have gotten the beta 600 2 weeks ago but it never came

Getting sick and tired of not being able to fly

Honestly starting to feel like sending drone back to supplier and demanding a refund as its never worked properly since new  and has already been in for repair once for this exact same issue

I can only imagine your frustration, I’m getting withdrawal symptoms with the weather not playing ball. Fingers crosssed the beta will solve your issue, I never had that problem myself but I’m sure I read one of the issues fixed was with the gimbal.

There’s some confusion in this thread. Beta v...600 and v...700 are for the P4 only. I see no way to get it onto a P4P without using dumbld@re, and that would be wrong to do anyway.
You maybe thinking of the last beta for the P4P which was v...608, but this was superseded by the latest prod firmware released on Christmas Day.

Oh, and I should say that P4P beta v...608 was indeed rekeasedti   fix a shakeup gimbal. If you can’t get a DJI midto give uouaccess tothat, try the latest prod firmware. Notetbiugh that others have reported issues with straight down video flipping.

And I hate typing on the forum mobile interface - it sux. That garble was saying, yes the P4P .608 beta was to fix what you described.

I assumed when I got the beta for my P4P it was the 600, I never checked the exact release number. I stand corrected. Hopefully Hellsgate will get back to enjoying his flying again soon.

And I’m advised that there’s a new beta now for the P4P (V.1.05.0301), presumably to fix the flipped video issue introduced in the recent V.1.05.0300 release.

There is nothing in that flight log about any gimbal errors.

the gimbal error occures after the flight log cuts off

battery and gimbal not applicable ?

batteries Not being detected

imu non functional

the question i have is why does the flight log just cut off like so
here are some screen shots i took after doing latest firmware update this morning showing imu and battery status unavailable.

If you look at the background of the second image you can clearly see the flight screen and yes this was all done on the desk but note the readings at the top for gps battery  etc

I figured the beta fix would have been incorperated into the latest firmware no i didnt try loading the beta 608 onto the drone as it was never sent.


anyway after this mornings failure after doing firmware update the drone is now in the hands of the reseller who is sending it back to dji for repairs once again
