Can not believe my luck. Thought for sure I lost my Mavic, but it recovered on its own and hovered waiting for my input. Even looks like it bounced off the ground. Just had to replace all 4 dinged props.

Remarkable recovery - well done! Like the footage too.

WOW... and very careful flying away from the accident site. I'm glad the damage was no bigger.

Looks like you were doing a reverse wide angle shot. Good recovery. Did you try increasing altitude when it hit to fly it out of the branches ? Tree took you be surprise I bet.

I was actually positioning just behind the tree line to do a reveal shot of Denali. I felt confident I was clear of the trees. Next time, point camera down.

Yeah no worries it happens; happened to me too but with a fence. Point camera down or you can also set that altitude to the top of the tree line.

LUCKY LUCKY LUCKY! That looked almost exactly how busted my gimbal and broke a leg (on the drone). I hit grass but it was the tree branches during the fall that did the poor drone in. Nice save!
