The SDK is quite handy in that respect. I was investigating making my own app using it for more fine cinematic control of the gimbal on devices like the mavic but my time is limited :-(

Yes, Android does have screen mirroring. But it looks like this is more. There's additional functionality, like tilting the gimbal, on the second screen that's not on the first screen.
