I am trying to update my firmware.  I have had my Phantom 3 Professional for about a year.  I haven't flown it very much but I need to be able to use it now.  I have been trying to update the firmware (which has never been updated) and cannot get it to complete sucessfully.  I am attempting to update it via the sd card.  The aircraft seems to be doing what it should during the update but it never seems to complete.  How long should the update take?  Any ideas on other things to try?  

Hi DRWright, I'm new to DJI and indeed firmware updating. However, having purchased my very first P3A and watching numerous YouTube clips I managed to upgrade both Controller and Aircraft via SD card (the aircraft took #20 minutes), so be patient it will update (the beeps are the key).

I have tried all of these things multiple times.  Here is the text message I get on the sd card after attempting to update:  ========== 2014.01.01 00:00:14 remo-con disconnect====== Packet: P3X_FW_V01.11.0020.bin Result: Failed. Reboot the aircraft and try to upgrade the firmware again.

Also, turn off the auto-update feature on the ipad or other tablety thing you use for eyes.

Like just mentioned, Do yourself a favor, don't do it unless your having issues!

can anyone tell me where the latest firmware update for the phantom 3 professional is? I updated my remote control like an idiot not i barely get a signal to see on the monitor now. DJI is no help to show me where to get the firmware. please!

You can download the aircraft fw update from Dji.com website

Sir, please ensure that you had the right update procedure. Any error message you got from your app? What about the camera? Did it start self-check when you turn it on? You can send the update log to us for further analysis. Thanks for your support.
