That's why I am asking. My work place is looking for a solution without having to invest in a whole new machine. I know several models have options, like the Inspire, but I'm having some trouble finding anything for the P4P. Waiting on a call from FLIR........

The FLIR Duo is similar in size to a GoPro. Was pretty much made for drones. No idea how to integrate it to a P4 though.

Wow. Not sure I'm that courageous for that mount. Have you seen it in person? I see it's Euro.

I got a great response from FLIR in case anyone else is considering this type of adaptation for  P4P:
“Unfortunately the Zenmuse XT is not compatible with the P4P. As for the Duo Pro or Vue Pro, I have seen these cameras mounted onto the older Phantom 2’s and 3’s, however these aircraft did not come with an installed camera like the Phantom 4 series does. This allowed cameras like the Duo and others with a GoPro style interface to be mounted onto the aircraft. Since the Phantom 4 Pro has an integrated camera, it is not set up to accept any other types of camera. I have seen people remove the Phantom 4 Pro’s preinstalled camera and “jerry rig” a thermal camera onto the aircraft. I DO NOT recommend this, as this will void any warranty from DJI and is not guaranteed to work. I hope this answers your  question.“

You should take a look at the link Bashy posted. It’s actually a pretty good system.

You throw in the price of the camera and it starts to add up pretty quick.  I have been considering this type of upgrade but its spendy and resolution of the cameras is pretty abysmal.  I guess if you are looking for hot spots on the roof of a  burning building, it should work.  For crop health, many many photos have to be stitched and analyzed.  But you guys know all that...

No, I didn't. I got interested in the FLIR from the TV show "Finding Bigfoot" so it's pretty obvious I'm not qualified for anything really smart like.

Sorry, I have been reading so many forums and research on the subject that I tend to assume too much.  There is a lot of information on the subject out there free for the clicking....

I was considering the Duo to hang under my sturdy P1, but the $1000 price tag would mean I wouldn't be able to afford a Mavic Pro Platinum after tax time this year. So it's for sure I won't be seeing warm things in the dark any time soon...

Great discussion all. If you see my previous comment, from a FLIR rep, I am strongly considering this option:

Check them out. They make quite a few items. Very large in the Marine Industry, Military, Law Enforcement, etc. Very reliable product.
