First time in Playa del Carmen! I did fly early in the morning trying to avoid the parasailers. No issues at the custom. When leaving Cancun airport the security officer wanted me to open the drone backpack whithout him touching my bag.

Thanks! Yes, that cost gets windy. One morning I just had to put the drone back into my backpack. Too much wind.

this is good to know.  I am heading to RIU Tequila next week and will be bringing my P4P.  did you have to do a compass calibration and all that stuff or did it just automatically adjust?

No, I didn't have to do any calibration. My advise, fly early morning, between 8-9AM and try not to go above the resort behind you. Someone from management came and kindly asked me due to privacy reasons not to fly above the resort.  Stay away if the parasailers are around.

that was my plan.  early morning flying.   I am also going to do a private tour to drone some cenotes and some ruins

You are not suppose to fly around the ruins, at least at Chichen Itza. Some said they may have jammers.

I've  been talking to a few people and if you go to the  ones that aren't as popular,  a little "tip" to the guard goes a long way.......lol
