Can I use X5S Olympus 45/1.8 balancingring with my X5?

Hi Mike, balancing ring of Olympus M.Zuiko 45mm/1.8 is not required for X5, why would you like to install it? And we do not recommend to do that.

I try to use my Olympus 45mm/1.8 with X5 and It is not balanced.
When I start Inspire then gimbal gives horrible sound.  Sounds like bee.
Dji MFT 15 works without any noise.

Hi Kieran, the balancing ring of Olympus M.Zuiko 45mm/1.8 is not required for X5, if you insists mounting it, the lens may too heavy and affect the shooting performance, thanks for your understanding.
